Monthly Report – November 2012

Community Day

Community day is just around the corner! The Senate is finalizing the date now, but I expect that it will occur on December 1st. Stay tuned for more details about the date, times, and events that will be taking place. For those of you who are new to TLO, Community Day happens about every three months, and is a day filled with events across most of our supported games, culminating in an award ceremony where promotions and awards are given out to members who have earned them over the past few months. I encourage everyone to attend!

Website and Forums

This is a repost of the monthly report I made on the other forums prior to the crash. As you all are no doubt aware by now, we lost a significant amount of data during the Chicago VPS crash, and have backed up to our last point which is a couple months old. There may be some issues going forward with lost topics, accounts, etc. If you notice these things or experience any trouble, please contact Veritas or JohnF. More information can be found here.

Casual Gaming Lounge

The Senate has voted to create a casual gaming lounge forum in the member communications category. The casual gaming lounge allows TLO members to group up in games not formally supported by TLO as a division or sub-division. If you play a game that is being discussed, or want to bring up a game and see if anyone else is playing it, I encourage you to stop by the forum. Games that build up a certain level of support in the casual gaming lounge might even be able to become formally supported as sub-divisions if there is sufficient activity, interest, and someone willing to lead it!

Game Commander Openings

The TOR sub-division coordinator position is still open. The Senate has decided to leave the TOR sub-division as it is until TOR opens up F2P, at which point they will re-evaluate the sub-division's status if no one steps up to the plate by that point.

Andzzy has decided to step down as Armada II coordinator due to time constraints. We thank him for his service! I have nominated Dendo Hellen to fill this position, and the Senate will be voting to confirm him shortly.

Both of these positions are a unique opportunity for members to become more involved in TLO and its leadership, and is a great opportunity to utilize your talents to build a part of this community. I strongly encourage members who are interested in either position to apply!
