Having been contacted by Jemma Etis, Renee Hampton rushes to the defence of Professor Nathaniel Fox in the present as he recounts the days leading up to the attack on Starfleet Headquarters - forcing him to defend himself against the decisions he made that day before Commodore Mason arrives in the Accobar System. Commander Barnes is left to the make the final judgement, which will decide whether the footage provided by Peirce is made known to his superiors.

Meanwhile, the crew roster of Pioneer Station receives several overdue changes.
