Time for some rest in the weekend, or is it? Commander Delacourte and Dr. P'Trell are discussing some upgrades to the station which have been waiting for them ever since the Omega 13 construction was finished. Starfleet brings bad news this day, they contact Genesis with the message that that USS Hood is heading there with a task force. Romulans near the Neutral Zone have encountered an Alien ship looking like a Dominion cruiser, but with a different signature. They lost 3 Warbirds to the aliens and at only 70 lightyears distance from Genesis, Starfleet is not taking any chances. The fleet will arrive in two days, on Monday, giving the engineering crew on the station little time to refit the still empty shuttle-bay 2 into a special operations room for the taskforce.

Meanwhile, the rest of the crew is having a break in the messhall with some culinary treats from the Chef and a refreshing beverage. Leo Goodman is falling asleep behind his console, doing overtime the past few days. P'Trell orders him to have some rest but the computer thinks otherwise: Leo had set a sensor alert which is now triggered. Calypso's second sun is also showing increased surface activity. Comparing this to the history of the sun from preliminary scans taken before construction of the station in the system, this activity is unusual. Still, nothing to worry about, every sun goes trough a period of heightened surface activity, but it did deprive Leo and Mr Washbourne from some fun.

Tomorrow will be the final test for the Omega 13 which will need to prove its practical use and reliability enabling it to be active at full power continuously in stead of just idling like it has been doing all week. Full power activity will enable it to send and receive messages continuously should it be needed, is the station up to this monumental task?

This was a more slow episode, but did cast some lines into the water. So, what do you think? Rate and discuss below!
