Biography: Malcom Thomas Reynolds IV (Tom) was born on December 18th, 2340. His father, Malcolm Thomas Reynolds III, was a Starfleet Medical Officer serving as Chief Surgeon at Starfleet Medical for the first five years of Tom's life - when he retired to spend more time at home. Tom's Mother was a school teacher at the Brooksbank School in Halifax, West Yorkshire, UK. Tom spent most of his life with a nose in his book, excelling at everything he attempted through his school years. Tom's Bookworm nature helped him to become a coveted commodity for universities throughout the Federation. Tom finally decided that his place was at Cambridge - and enrolled on the eve of his 18th Birthday.

For 8 years, Tom studied History, specializing in military history - graduating each time at the top of his class. When the time came for him to focus on his Doctoral Dissertation, Tom had already written it, and it was accepted by the University. Doctor Thomas Reynolds was now a somebody.

Reynolds stayed at Cambridge to teach, and became the head of the History department - writing entire novels on items such as the Dominion War - Sona Defence Strategies, and even the novel still on the top 100 list "The life and times of A Romulan Praetor: A Retrospective look at the New Romulan Empire under Donatra". His Career came to a new height when he was approached by Starfleet Intelligence for a new secret project... How could Tom Refuse?
