Just curious as to how the Elder Statesman rank works? I thought it was given to retired members of the Cabinet but have noticed that there ar emembers of the Cabinet who are no longer members of the Cabinet and aren't Elder Statesman.

Klaw

In simplest and probably least politically correct terms: It's an honorary title bestowed upon members of the cabinet who had a profound impact on TLO. A vote is put up by cabinet members to hand the honor out.

Paenitet

Ah, okay. Is the vote automatic or what?

Jenson

Voting is not automatic, it has to be called by a Cabinet member. Also, the President can create Elder Statespersons through executive order. The President also decides what special access (if any) ES' get beyond access to the secure Cabinet forum.

There also used to be a list of elder statesmen and their special privileges (if any) somewhere, but i cant seem to find it anymore.

It's Executive Order 21.
