Introduce Yourself! / Kevin Duprise, Reporting in
Last post by Kevin_duprise - January 17, 2021, 08:09:59 AMHello Fellow trekkies,
i am Kevin, 32 years old, and from the netherlands, i am a trekkie since i was a little kid, because my dad and uncle were all into it aswell, it was included in me growing up
i love the theories and the links between series and events. it just gives me that special feeling.
i started playing ST related RPGs when i was 14/15 on forums, with a fairly large group of dutch/belgium people, had a lot of fun and did this until my 16th , thats when i discovered RPG-X , back then it was buggy and i had a bad PC which couldnt load all the maps.
Back in 2006, i started playing RPG-X when it just came out, after that i was hooked, played for about 2 years, then school and reallife had to come first, by now i'm a father to 1 daughter of 2 and another daughter waiting to be born!.
what i am looking for , is like minded trekkies, to make beautifull and adventurous stories with, trough RPG-X or trough Minecraft (never did a ST related event on MC) or trough STO, (got a char but dont remember the pass and name, i'll fill it out later)
my ingame name will be Kevin Duprise, since this was originaly my Star-trek nickname, (RL: Kevin van Ommeren)
Hope you guys have everything you need to know! and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me

Non-Trek Gaming / Non-Trek Event Roadmap for Jan...
Last post by RadioActivitii - December 13, 2020, 02:49:50 PMGreetings! With 2021 being a new year, I think it's time we work on some events for the department. Since that's only in a few short weeks, this thread is going to be dedicated to just laying some groundwork for what's planned, and figuring out the finer details like times from there. For January 2021, I think running things on the weekends would be a good idea, and I have plans for three of the five slots:
The last two can either be used as runoffs for the first three games, or used for something else. Time will tell.
So now, we're onto times: Obviously a lot of us are quite busy, so finding a time that works for us all is going to be a challenge. If you are interested in these events, please reply with what times work for you and I will post a poll in the coming days to work things out more.
- Week 1 (January 2nd/3rd) - Stellaris (Vanilla)
- Week 2 (January 9th/10th) - Sins of a Solar Empire (Armada 3)
- Week 3 (January 16th/17th) - Stellaris (New Horizons)
- Week 4 (January 23rd/24th) - Free Slot
- Week 5 (January 30th/31st) - Free Slot
The last two can either be used as runoffs for the first three games, or used for something else. Time will tell.

Announcements / A Year to Remember
Last post by Serris - November 22, 2020, 05:48:23 PM2020 has been a tremendous year, for better or worse. Together, we've all faced unimaginable personal and professional disruptions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that have tested our resolve. This community is no exception to the bleak state of affairs, not just this year, but over the last few years. The Last Outpost closed out the last decade with a tumultuous cycle in leadership and a lack of direction. Our personal struggles have only served to pull our attention away from our community and make this worse, especially as of late.
Look to the world around us. In America alone, despite uncontrolled case numbers, there are now two promising candidates for vaccination against COVID-19. Even in darkness, there is hope. I feel your frustrations with our stagnation and lack of direction, and those frustrations now have a voice and substantial influence in shaping this community. There is hope for The Last Outpost's future. Still, despite my overwhelming urge to hit the ground running with sweeping reforms, if this year has taught us anything, it's that it is a time to be careful and considerate. I will be holding a Cabinet Meeting after the American Thanksgiving holiday in early December to confer with my colleagues in the Cabinet and the membership, get an assessment of the current state of affairs, and make decisions accordingly.
Scheduling pending, I invite you all to join me in this meeting, and lay the foundation for a better future for The Last Outpost. My private messages on the forum and on our Discord are open. Please do not hesitate to come to me with your feedback, your ideas, and your visions for this community. I want to encourage a more open, constructive dialogue and camaraderie within our community. Every input counts, now more than ever.
