RPG-X UE Default Key Bindings [RESOLVED]

[Martin Thompson]

Hey Guys,

I just installed the Ultimate Edition and noticed that all my keybindings where different. The numpad no longer controls my 3rd person view and the number keys are all admin functions it appears. Now i know how i can set those back by copieing over my CE settings, but I was wondering if this change is intentional? If so, why are there so many admin commands bound by default? I don't think thats a good default setting tbh.

[Veritas]

Serris setup the RPGXUE/SE configs and can likely tell you more, but my understanding is that the key bindings are intentional and are meant to make things easier on everyone - are you using an English/standard keyboard layout?

I did absolutely nothing to the key binds, but I did replace the autoexec.cfg file with CVARS meant to make the entire experience a lot smoother. It forces "CG_DeferPlayers 0", which removes the need to hit tab every time someone changes their player model. I also forced "CG_FirstPersonBody 1" to let people more accurately gauge how their emotes look relative to everyone else from a first-person perspective, and every graphics setting is set to maximum, except for color depth. You'll probably just have to re-bind everything or transplant your settings from your previous autoexec.cfg.

[Veritas]

Sorry, my mistake.

It's also worth noting that pretty soon the Configurator will be back and you'll be able to setup your autoexec.cfg using it.

[Martin Thompson]

Ah right. Then i dont know why all my binds where kinda messed up. It was verry annoying anyway Having a configurator would be great though. An yes, I am using ENG US keyboard layout

This is the contents from my autoexec.cfg file. The recent 1.1.5 update overwrote it again. I think there are alot of binds in there that don't really make sence tbh and also wreak havok with my normal binds.

Also, the configure.exe which came with the update sais its missing a launcher.cfg file.

... Shit. I could have sworn I replaced my personal autoexec before it was pushed out. I'm going to pull the update and verify the installer code. It should be generating a file, but it isn't.

It's my fault for screwing up in the first place. Did that installer work?

[Martin Thompson]

It fixed the issue with the configuration tool (albeit i had to rename the install location to Ultimate Edition in stead of standard edition) but something is still messed up with the autoexec.cfg. I'm going toi re-download and re-install the ultimate edition just to be sure i didnt mess anything up on my end.

You can overwrite it with this in Notepad:
