Captain Mason has a rude awakening as Pioneer battles to maintain even basic functionality following the abrupt and unplanned severing of the station's fusion core reactor. With outside help still days away and the backup power plant struggling to cope with the system migration, the crew have little choice put to take the Hera out on the trail of their stolen core assembly. However, the result of their recovery operation seems too good to be true when the assembly is detected drifting in open space...

Secretly recognizing the design of the vessel responsible for the theft, Mason fears that she is closer to the act of larceny than she could have possibly imagined.

An Introduction to Power Struggle

If you hadn't noticed from my original teasers for this season, this episode had a different title. But recent changes to episode two meant that it would have been too spoilery to keep. Nevertheless, we press on with the aftermath of The Doppelganger Heist and things are only getting stranger. We still don't know who is behind the theft (the original title sort of revealed this) or why they chose to undertake it. We don't know if they're working alone or with others. We don't know how their ship was able to evade detection at close range.. and we don't yet know why the core assembly will be found aimlessly drifting in open space.

He promised that there would be time to catch up. That time is now. It's about to get personal.

Power Struggle - Five Teasers

1) New arrivals tend to pick the worst times. I guess this will be no exception... at least this one is accustomed to life in the Accobar System.

2) I'm sure that after waking up in her quarters, Sophia will be reasonable with Alicia and Craig.

3) "There's really no need for that kind of commotion, dear, as amusing as it is..."

4) The Hera finally comes across a line she cannot cross.

5) Don't leave the server too soon... as two more characters return for a reckoning.
