Grizz

Good day!

I am embarking on a period of reduced activity to return refreshed for the new season of Asteroid Field - the details of which will be dropped off in a few weeks.

Until then, I invite you to treat this thread as an AMA of sorts. I would say that there's no such thing as a dumb question - so long as you remember that there's no such thing as a dumb answer.

Hey Grizz, have a nice break/time off/soul searching holiday (XD).

I do actually have a few questions for you, regarding AF of course.

1. What is Sophia Mason's favourite food?

2. Where can we find Sophia Mason during her off hours doing what activities?

3. What would Sophia Mason expect from a brand spanking new science-class vessel that may or may not be slightly arrow shaped to replace the Hera after its destruction in last seasons finale and what would she, at the very least, require as feature set to take this new ship for a spin during the new season?

1. What period of time will have elapsed between the Season Five finale and the beginning of Six, if any?

2. How would you handle/insert characters who were absent or newly joined into the SRP?

1. When Leona Mason reaches Telos, this season, you might just find out. Would be a shame to answer that burning question prematurely. It probably isn't a piece of fruit, though. #sophiadoesnttrustthefruit

2. Reading up on obscure Earth culture on the upper level of the Promenade - or enjoying a very popular Holodeck program which appears to be the only one Pioneer has. We know she has developed a love of chess, too. Of course, this all implies that Sophia Mason has off-hours during which she isn't seeking therapy.

3. Well clearly it needs more firepower and defensive capabilities than the Hera provided - and needs to be much better stocked to compensate for the fact that this is now a ship-based SRP. We don't need CSO quarters because she abandoned us and dismantled the science department just when we really, really needed one - hence why we lost our old ship and our station. It also needs a new Greek Goddess to be named after. Thankfully, I think I have just the one. But it will need to be something special to replace the Hera in her heart.

Are we going to partake? :P

Well of course. God only knows (10/10 episode) how, though.

1. One week, at most. Realistically, Starfleet can't hang about - and things start moving quickly.

2. New members will simply be inserted as part of the crew. Although, there isn't really a crew when we pick up. They have no ship or station to call their own. Existing members will just still be there. McClintock, for example, was present for the last episode - he was simply injured and later evacuated from Sickbay when the Hera was abandoned. Bringing back characters that have been absent for years is a bit more complicated.

The CSO quarters could come stocked with something which would not make it superfluous...

Pioneer's CSO quarters certainly had an interesting addition.

It took a while but finally there all of Thrace's books where removed from his shelves and put into storage. Why do you think there are always so many containers in the cargobay?

They hold all my SRP notes. Today's bit of planning required me to add a folder to my folder within my other folder. Which was odd.

And here I was thinking you where working in IT. Why didn't you start counting at 0?

Grizz

Season 0 was called Star Trek: Asteroid Base.

We don't talk about why.
